-I bought this awesome Captain America poster for Will's study room. I was thinking it would give him some super mind powers and motivation to save the world through his doctor-ness. Plus he has two Captain America shirts, so I figured he would like it
-School has started for the kids at Wake Forest so I have my official work schedule now...it's going to be all day Monday-Thursday and then a half day every Friday...my dream schedule
-Will got our Wake Forest shirts last week, so we are officially Demon Deacons
-My supervisor gave me fresh green beans from her garden...I roasted them in the oven with some garlic and olive oil and they were so delicious...I don't even like green beans
-I also made pesto bruschetta. Delicious.
-Annie still sends us snapchats. Every day. She's great. She loves to ask Will medical questions which is always entertaining. I think she sent this one after my cousin Kara was visiting my family?...I dunno, sometimes I can't keep up with her snaps...
-We updated the art wall. Which means that we actually bought picture frames instead of taping pieces of paper to the wall...
It's been sort of a work in progress.
I think I'm satisfied with this art wall. Maybe.
I also ditched the yellow pillows. I just wasn't feeling their vibe. They were making the whole room kind of rainbowy, which I wasn't really going for. I found some fabric on sale and covered the yellow pillows using stitch witchery. I had never heard of this magical tape until last week. Who knew you could make a pillow without a needle and thread? Thank you, Pinterest. Next I want to try to crochet a pillow cover...we will have to see if Pinterest can make it happen.
-Will's brother Hudson is home from his mission! We video chatted with him the day after he got home and mercilessly made fun of his Spanish accent and then we talked to him again a few days ago about his starting BYU and classes and his new job and stuff. We forgot how much we missed Hudson. Such a great kid.
-I have a super talented sister and her name is Nico and she made all of these lovely posters for all the BYU Arts events
-I still can't decide if I should invest in a bed for the second bedroom in our house. It's also Will's study room, so I would probably need to get some sort of futon or pull-out couch bed type of deal. I just need someone to come visit me and maybe I will be motivated to buy one...I do have a lovely Welcome mat that would love to say hello!
-Fall is coming! I can't believe August is almost over. Usually I'm just kind of so-so about fall, but for some reason I have been really excited for fall this year. And I was reading this lovely blog today and saw the beautiful fall pictures she posted and I just can't wait to wear my boots and play in the leaves.
-We are going to Virginia on Saturday (can't believe that I can say that I'm just "going to Virginia") to watch the BYU football game and we are so excited. Yay for football and fall!
